Project overview
Battlefield Health of one of Systematic product. It is a healthcare-focused project built on an open-source platform.
It sits at a unique intersection — it is the only product in the world combining Systematics 30+ years of defence expertise with its proven healthcare technology to manage patient tracking and flow from the point of incident to repatriation.
The position requires candidates to be based in Ukraine or in Poland.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Clinical Domain Advisor with OpenMRS experience to bridge clinical expertise and technology in a healthcare-focused IT project. This role is ideal for a professional with a medical background who has transitioned into IT and is motivated to apply clinical knowledge in a technical, system-driven environment. You’ll be part of the full implementation cycle — from the initial analysis of clinical workflows through to go-live and post-implementation review.
- Translating clinical workflows from deployed hospital settings into tailored OpenMRS configurations, ensuring our open-source EMR solution supports clinicians effectively in the field
- Advising on clinical best practice and ensuring solutions comply with regulatory and organisational requirements
- Collaborating with the Product Owner and Software Developers to make sure the final product is both medically sound and technically feasible
- Help accelerate and spread clinical domain knowledge within the team through guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Participate in discussions related to integrations, workflows, and system behavior from a clinical perspective
- Support requirement clarification, documentation, and validation where needed
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in software development
- Medical or clinical background, such as MD, nurse, public health specialist or strong professional experience within the healthcare domain
- Experience and knowledge of the Triage Form and cABCDE Form
- Solid understanding of clinical workflows (patient journey, diagnosis, treatment, documentation)
- Ability to translate clinical and business needs into technical requirements
- Experience working with EHR/EMR systems
- Hands-on experience with OpenMRS
- Experience working with configurable and modular healthcare systems
- Ability to comfortably work in a multidisciplinary IT environment
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher (spoken and written)
