Project overview
Getinge is a Scandinavian medical technology company specializing in solutions for operating rooms, intensive care, and life sciences.
We are looking for a Technical Writer for our Digital Health Solutions. The system manages the operating room — including surgery video routing, music, data management, and device operation. Another system allows OR managers to plan, manage, and optimize the surgical flow, with both solutions integrating for a fully organized perioperative workflow.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve high-quality technical documentation for the areas OR-Management and OR-Integration
- Manage and structure multilingual knowledge base (KB) content, ensuring consistency, usability, and accuracy across languages
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams to develop clear, context-sensitive help content embedded within applications
- Own the end-to-end documentation lifecycle, from content planning and authoring to publishing and updates
- Work with translation management systems (TMS) to coordinate localization workflows and ensure timely delivery of translated content
- Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guidelines to ensure consistency across all materials
- Optimize content for different audiences, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical users
- Monitor documentation effectiveness through user feedback and analytics, and continuously refine content accordingly
- Communication with Product Management, R&D, Sales, and Customer Support is also needed to understand the different functionalities and audiences
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in that area
- Excellent knowledge of English, spoken and written is a must
- Strong technical knowledge
- A relevant degree in Technical Editor/Communication
Will be an advantage:
- Experience with the “SCHEMA ST4” tool
- Have some background or knowledge about API documentation, understanding of the documentation process as “Docs-as-Code”
- Experience with Photoshop, Help & Manual, or similar tools would be a benefit
- Good knowledge (B2) of German spoken and written
