Senior ML Data Engineer

Project overview

Our customer is Nordic company. Their diverse portfolio spans multiple sectors, including defense, aerospace, and the protection and surveillance of critical infrastructure. We are looking for a Senior ML Data Engineer in Lviv, Ukraine, to be the first engineer in the team. It needs to be a person who has made solutions using AI for data crunching.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable real-time data and ML pipelines
Develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning and NLP solutions
Architect and maintain distributed, containerized systems with a focus on scalability, fault tolerance, and performance
Lead technical implementation as the first ML Data Engineer in the team, shaping the architecture, best practices, and technical direction of the project

Requirements

7+ of experience
Strong experience with stream processing frameworks (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming)
Proficiency in Python and Java/Scala for data engineering and ML integration
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and NLP libraries (Hugging Face)
Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) and semantic search
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Understanding of distributed systems, data partitioning, and fault tolerance
