Principal .NET Developer
- Poland
- Senior
At Conscensia, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work as part of our team while contributing to innovative projects for our trusted customers. This position is for a project with Unik System Design, where you’ll collaborate closely with the customer’s team while enjoying all the benefits and support of being a Conscensia colleague.
Project overview
Unik System Design (USD) is a Danish company with offices in Vejle (HQ), Aalborg and Copenhagen. Unik System Design delivers software products for the housing/property management industry. The products are market-leading in Denmark.
Unik Bolig is the leading housing ERP system in Denmark with a market share of around 70%. The product suite contains everything from property management, facility management, rent collection, full finance system, task tracking and tenant service portals. The new SaaS platform will replace the existing product offering. The new product will be delivered from their “hybrid cloud” consisting of an Azure local stack connected to Azure. Unik is on a clear journey toward AI-first engineering, with AI already embedded in core engineering workflows and now being scaled systematically across development and operational efficiency. The development teams operate in a distributed setup across Poland and Denmark, with close collaboration across locations.
List of technologies: GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, C#, .NET, MSSQL, RabbitMQ, Entity Framework Core, Angular
Responsibilities
As our Principal Engineer, you will, together with our architects, define and drive the technical direction of our product uHabi. You’ll take ownership of the architectural vision, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and long-term technical health. As part of our journey toward AI-first engineering, you will help shape how AI is applied across development, testing, and operations, with clear guardrails for quality, security, and responsible use. While you work closely with development teams, you operate outside the Scrum teams — setting the guardrails, not running the sprints. You remain technically hands-on through targeted coding, prototyping, and technical deep-dives where it creates the most value.
You connect long-term technical strategy with day-to-day implementation, giving teams clarity, consistency, and confidence in the platform’s evolution. You will not have people management responsibility, but your impact will be felt across everything they build.
- Define the overarching system architecture and guide its evolution, including relevant AI-first patterns
- Make key decisions on technology stack, system design, integration patterns, and responsible AI use
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to translate architectural principles into actionable solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and sparring to developers, including AI best practices
- Challenge existing solutions and drive continuous improvement in code quality and engineering practices
- Ensure architecture aligns with business goals, product strategy, and AI guardrails for quality and security
- Stay hands-on with coding and prototyping, leading by example rather than PowerPoint
